Discover one of the friendliest flying clubs in the UK at Sheffield Aero Club. Located at Netherthorpe, the country’s shortest licensed runway, our club combines a rich aviation heritage with a warm, welcoming community.

We’re open Tuesday to Sunday, offering fuel, training, visitor facilities, and a unique environment for both seasoned pilots and newcomers.

Our on-site licenced cafe is open to the general public Thursday to Sunday, serving freshly prepared meals, snacks, and desserts in a family- and pet-friendly setting with stunning views over the airfield.

Whether you're visiting by air or by road, joining as a member, or simply looking for great food with a view, Sheffield Aero Club is the perfect place to enjoy the world of aviation.

ABOUT THE SKYWAYS CAFE

Open Thursday - Sunday

Open to the general public this fully licensed cafe right at the side of the runway is a perfect place to bring the family for bite to eat and drink. Our beer garden is situated right at the side of the main runway.
A selection of beers, wines and spirits are available as well as Teas, Coffees and cakes.
